Zusammenfassung
Geographische Informationssysteme (GIS) sind die zentralen Werkzeuge für die Arbeit mit Geodaten. Zunehmend werden GIS aber auch für Simulationen, Zukunftsprojektionen und fiktive Visualisierungen im Raum verwendet. GIS ist die ideale Software für die IT-gestützte Standortsuche von Energieinfrastrukturen (EIS), das Planungs-, Simulations- und Visualisierungstool für jede Anlage, die im Zusammenhang mit der Energieproduktion steht. Im Beitrag werden die Anwendungsmöglichkeiten von GIS in der Energiewende für drei Aspekte genauer beleuchtet:. Wie lässt sich GIS für die Suche des optimalen Standortes für EIS einsetzen?. Wie kann GIS angewandt werden, um die Sichtbarkeit von EIS in der Landschaft zu analysieren?. Wie lässt sich die regionale Klimasimulation mit einem GIS kombinieren, um Eintrittswahrscheinlichkeiten von Witterungszuständen in der Zukunft zu modellieren? Abschließend wird ein Ausblick gegeben, wie der zukünftige Umgang mit EIS aussehen könnte: Die Verschmelzung von BIM (Building Information Modelling) und GIS ermöglicht die Verwendung eines integralen Werkzeuges für die Planung, den Bau und den Betrieb zukünftiger Bauvorhaben der Energiewende.
