The New Diversity of Family Life in Europe

Abstract

The following text is an essay on the socialist family. Its purpose is not to look at all of its aspects, but only to outline its contours and characteristics as a biopolitical construct with its existing and newly formed boundaries – those that have been overcome and those that have not been, respectively. In the discourse of socialist policy, family is one of the key subjects. It is a prerequisite for the existence of the socialist society, as well as a result of the construction of the New Man and the New Society.
