Zusammenfassung

Die einschlägige Literatur benennt eine Vielzahl von möglichen Ursachen von Staatskollaps. In diesem Kapitel wird der Forschungsstand zusammengefasst und daraus ein Satz von möglichen kausalen Bedingungen extrahiert. Wir identifizieren insgesamt 25 kausale Behauptungen, die wir als Risikofaktoren für unser vergleichendes Forschungsdesign formulieren.

Dieses Kapitel ist unter Mitwirkung von Felix S. Bethke entstanden. Einzelne Abschnitte wurden bereits in einer früheren Version 2012 unter dem Titel „Ursachen von Staatskollaps und fragiler Staatlichkeit: Eine Ü/bersicht über den Forschungsstand“ als INEF-Report Nr. 106 veröffentlicht (Duisburg: Institut für Entwicklung und Frieden).
