Abstract

Bioinformaticians have developed many tools for dealing with the kinds of data needed for taxonomic work on higher plants. Information Technology (IT)-infrastructure or Cyber-infrastructure is a combination of databases, network protocols, and computational services that bring together information and computational tools to perform research in an information-driven world (Stein 2008).
