Gesundheitsförderung und Krankheitsprävention - soziologisch beobachtet

Zusammenfassung

Der Beitrag diskutiert eine breite Palette von Themen und soziologischen Perspektiven auf Gesundheitsförderung und Krankheitsprävention. Ausgehend von einer Grundunterscheidung zwischen angewandten und reflexiv-kritischen Positionen werden zunächst Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten von Krankheitsprävention und Gesundheitsförderung dargestellt. Aus einer soziologischen Perspektive besonders relevant sind die weitgehende Durchsetzung von Vorstellungen der Machbarkeit von Gesundheit, die Transformation von Gesundheitsgefahren in Risiken und der damit steigende Handlungsdruck auf unterschiedliche Akteure. Herausgearbeitet werden Handlungsmöglichkeiten, aber auch dabei entstehenden Paradoxien und Widersprüche auf einer Makro-, Meso- und Mikroebene – für politische Akteure, Organisationen, Netzwerke und oft überforderte Individuen.
