Zusammenfassung
Lenin sah eine Revolution heraufziehen, wenn die unten nicht mehr wollen und die oben nicht mehr können. Ganz ähnlich findet Transformation des Gesellschaftssystems statt, wenn das alte Regime nicht mehr den Erwartungen entspricht, sei es denen der Bevölkerung, sei es denen der alten oder einer neuen Elite. Diese Erwartungen können nichtmaterieller Natur sein, z. B. Freiheit und Demokratie („Das Volk sind wir“). Gleichzeitig sind sie meistens aber auch materieller Natur („Kommt die DM nicht nach hier, gehen wir zu ihr“).
