Zusammenfassung
Im Jahre 1934 wiesen Monguio und Krause (1) aus der Thannhauserschen Klinik in Freiburg auf die Bedeutung des Ammoniakgehaltes des Blutes für die Beurteilung der Leberfunktion hin. Die Methodik war jedoch zu umständlich für eine breitere Anwendung. Erst seit der Einführung der Mikrodiffusionsmethode von Conway konnte man daran gehen, das Verhalten des Blutammoniaks unter physiologischen und pathologischen Bedingungen zu untersuchen.
