Zusammenfassung

Der Anteil der alten Menschen im Alter von über 65 Jahren beträgt derzeit in der BRD 15–16% der Gesamtbevölkerung, das entspricht einer Zahl von 9,5 Millionen alter Menschen. Nach den demographischen Hochrechnungen wird dieser Anteil bis zum Jahre 2030 auf 20%, entsprechend 12 Millionen, ansteigen, um dann wieder, bedingt durch das Nachrücken der geburtenschwachen Jahrgänge, abzunehmen.
