Abstract
In Children’s Clinic of the Helsinki University Central Hospital (as well as in the whole HUCH) has the content of nursing, its documentation and nursing dependency classifications been developed. After the start of the development of the computerized real-time datasystem for the patient administration in the outpatient département of Children’s Clinic in 1982, has the proportion of nursing staff been notable in the development. The development has been done as project work with the ADP-office and Children’s Clinic and it is still continuing. The nursing dependency classification and the classifications of the external causes of the children’s accidents, which are included in the system, are developed by the nursing staff (Lohva 1982, Tiikkainen 1982). Both classifications have been researched, the obtained results have been evaluated and developed further. In this lecture will the computerized data- system of the patient administration of the Children’s Clinic of HUCH be represented for the part of its content. Furthermore the system of classification of the nursing dependency in the outpatient department of the Children’s Clinic will be represented and evaluated. The computerized datasystem of the patient administration in the out-patient department and the opinions of the nursing staff before and after the intro-duction of ADP and has after one years use been evaluated. The results of this study will be represented.
