Germinal Center Activity in Relation to Delayed Hypersensitivity

  • Chapter
Germinal Centers in Immune Responses

Abstract

For many years it was considered by some people that delayed hypersensitivity and circulating antibody production were closely linked phenomena. Moreover, it was even thought by some that delayed hypersensitivity was an essential step in the process of antibody formation (Salvin and Smith, 1960).
