Abstract
In classical studies of rotors supported by flexible bearings, isotropy of the bearings is assumed in most cases. F. M. Dimentberg [1], A. Tondl [2], and W. Kellenberger [3] have treated the problem of rotors with anisotropic flexible bearings with the principal axes of flexibility being in parallel. The present paper deals with the problem of rotors consisting of n discs on a massless shaft mounted in unsymmetrical flexible bearings, i.e. flexible bearings having their principal axes independently oriented. The flexural rigidity of the rotors is assumed to be isotropic.
