Während die Durchblutungsstörungen im Gehirn in der Mortalitätsstatistik an dritter Stelle rangieren und als eine typische geriatrische Erkrankung anzusehen sind, steckt die Bearbeitung dieser interdisziplinären Aufgabe noch weitestgehend in den Kinderschuhen.
