Zusammenfassung

Polymorphonucleäre Neutrophile (PMN) erzeugen als Folge der Phagocytose von Bakterien und Tumorzellen eine Chemolumineszenz. Nach Ingestion des Fremdpartikels werden die mikrobiziden Funktionen der PMN aktiviert, wobei hochreaktive Zwischenprodukte der Sauerstoffreduktion entstehen (1). Die Chemolumineszenz der Granulocyten korreliert direkt mit der metabolischen Aktivierung der PMN während der Phagocytose und kann somit als Grundlage einer Messung der Lyseaktivität von Granulocyten gegen Tumorzellen gemacht werden (2).
