Clinical information, i.e. forms, letters, reports, processed on wordprocessors linked with a software database and filled on a hard disc, can bei recalled and evaluated at any time. Its merits as compared to clinical records are:

Zusammenfassung
Wird zur Erstellung von klinischer Information in Form von Formularen, Befunden und Briefen eine EDV (Textverarbeitung in Kombination mit einer Datenbank Software) benutzt und diese gesamte Information auf einer Festplatte gespeichert, so ist sie in allen Terminals jederzeit abrufbar und auswertbar. Gegenüber der Krankenblattarchivierung zeigen sich folgende Vorteile: Klinische Information kann schneller mit weniger Personal erstellt werden, diagnostische und therapeutische Entscheidungen können rascher getroffen werden, Strategien ständig überprüft und verbessert werden.
