Insulin und IGF-1-Rezeptorstatus an Erythrozyten bei Frauen und Mädchen mit PZO-Syndrom

Zusammenfassung

Ätiologie und Pathogenese des Polyzystischen Ovarsyndroms (PZOS) sind hypothetisch. In letzter Zeit traten Störungen des Kohlenhydratstoffwechsels (Insulinresistenz, Hyperinsulinämie, HI) und der Einfluß von Wachstumsfaktoren auf das funktionelle ovarielle Parenchym als kausale Prinzipien dieses Syndroms in den Mittelpunkt. In eigenen Studien konnten signifikant erhöhte Konzentrationen des Wachstumfaktors Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1; Somatomedin-C) bei gleichzeitiger Verminderung der Spiegel des Human Growth Hormone (HGH) und eine gestörte Insulinbindung an rote Blutkörperchen, stellvertretend für andere Insulin-Erfolgsorganzellen, wie Leber-, Muskel- oder Fettgewebszellen untersucht wurden, bei Frauen mit PZOS nachgewiesen werden (2, 3).
