Neurologische Probleme bei Kindern drogenabhängiger Mütter

Zusammenfassung

Man schätzt, daß in den USA etwa jedes zehnte Neugeborene unter dem Drogenmißbrauch seiner Mutter leidet [2]. Eine Züricher Studie fand bei 7% aller Neugeborenen von der Mutter eingenommene Drogen im Mekonium [3]. Wir sehen in Basel monatlich ein Neugeborenes mit therapiebedürftigen Entzugssymptomen infolge mütterlichen Drogenkonsums. Unter den vielfältigen Problemen von Kindern drogenabhängiger Mütter sind neurologische Auffälligkeiten besonders häufig.
