Zusammenfassung
Für die 90er Jahre wird vielfach das Zusammenwachsen von Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie sowie Unterhaltungselektronik prognostiziert. Für die dabei entstehenden kooperativen (verteilten, Gruppenarbeit unterstützenden) multimedialen Systeme wird häufig als zentrales Software-Grundkonzept ‘Hypertext/Hypermedia’ [9] propagiert und als erstes wichtiges Anwendungsfeld die Aus-/Weiterbildung. Der Begriff Hypermedia ist aber noch nicht konsolidiert: es fehlt an einem allgemein akzeptierten Grundverständnis, an breit eingeführten Standards, an einer soliden theoretischen Untermauerung. Heutige Hypermedia-Systeme erweisen sich meist auch als viel zu eingeschränkt, um als die zentrale Komponente großer Softwaresysteme verwendet zu werden.
