Zusammenfassung

Die nichtlineare Optimierung beschäftigt sich mit der Untersuchung einer nichtlinearen Funktion, welche das Verhalten eines technischen, ökonomischen oder anderen Systems ausdrückt, bezüglich maximaler bzw. minimaler Werte unter gegebenen Restriktionen, die ihrerseits wiederum vviderspiegelungen bestehender Beschränkungen (an Material, Arbeitskräften, Geldmitteln usw.) darstellen. Solche Beschränkungen bestehen in vielen Fällen in Gleichungen und/oder Ungleichungen.
