Abstract

Rice plants infected with both tungro viruses (RTVs) (rice tungro spherical virus and rice tungro bacilliform virus), and rice dwarf Phytoreovirus (RDV) serve as source plants. As these viruses have different transmission characteristics (see Subprotocols 17.1, 17.3), they can be separated from a doubly infected plant by using leafhoppers.
