Abstract

Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) imaging is a relatively safe, noninvasive technique. Different tissue types produce different NMR responses. Organs, components of organs, and different states of tissue (e.g. cancerous, inflammatory, normal) have been distinguished in experiments suggesting the use of NMR in early diagnosis. Space prohibits discussion of more than one design so we outline only our design for diagnosing kidney transplant rejection.
