Abstract

In dilated cardiomyopathy ventricular arrhythmias are frequently observed and may lead to sudden death from ventricular fibrillation [2, 3, 5]. Increased ventricular vulnerability therefore seems to exist in some cases. Detailed investigations of this phenomenon have not yet been carried out. In the present study, the frequency of increased ventricular vulnerability and its relationship to electrophysiological and hemodynamic parameters were investigated in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy.
