Abstract
During the past 14 Years at St. Thomas’ Hospital, left ventricular biopsies taken routinely at surgery from 680 patients have been studied by cellular chemical methods. Cold cardioplegic arrest with the St. Thomas’ solution was adopted as the method of myocardial protection 5 Years ago.
