Abstract

During the last seven years our experiences with vascular decompression in cases of hemifacial spasm and trigeminal neuralgia showed very good results. In accordance with these results and the suggestions by Jannetta we decided to perform vascular decompression on vestibulo-cochlear malfunction, such as tinnitus, sudden hearing loss and vertigo, when all other conservative treatments had failed.
