Abstract
In his paper Boerger raises the question whether temporal coding of “repetition noise” in T.D.U.-units is relevant for the perception of Repetition Pitch (RP). To elaborate this question basic to our understanding of pitch mechanisms, let us summarize the main facts on pitch from psychophysical experiments and compare these with data from electrophysiology.
