Abstract
Several specimens were supplied to us by Mr. Forrest Lee of the Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Station, U.S.F.W.S., Jamestown, N.D. Mitotic plates were obtained from feather pulp and leucocyte cultures. The unusual morphology and larger number of chromosomes of the Mandarin is considerably different from the Wood Duck (Aix sponsa) (Av-22).
