The Influence of Temperature on Membrane Processes

  • Chapter
Effects of Temperature on Ectothermic Organisms

Abstract

The question as to how sensory and nerve cells are influenced by changes of temperature is one which has interested neurophysiologists since the days of Bernstein (1912), touching as it does upon the basic problems of excitatory mechanisms.
