Adrenal Medullary Tumors, Mouse

  • Chapter
Endocrine System

Part of the book series: Monographs on Pathology of Laboratory Animals ((LABORATORY))

Abstract

While small medullary tumors are not visible grossly, large ones may result in a reddish-yellow, generalized enlargement of the affected adrenal gland (Smith et al. 1949). Medullary tumors cannot be distinguished grossly from adrenocortical tumors in the mouse (Dunn 1970).
