Zusammenfassung

Laserpunktur mittels low level laser therapy (LLLT) ist in der konservativ- interventionellen Schmerztherapie ein modernes Verfahren, jedoch mit ambivalentem Stellenwert. Dieser basiert vornehmlich auf dem Defizit entsprechender Dosierungs- richtlinien (Basford 1989). Essentielle Dosierungsparameter des niedrigdosierten Lasers sind Ausgangsleistung, Bestrahlungszeit, Bestrahlungsfläche, Leistungsdichte sowie Energiedichte. Eine adäquate Dosierung fordert einen „Schwellenwert“ der Leistungsdichte (mW/cm2) und eine dem Therapieziel entsprechende Energiedichte (Dosis = J/cm2) (Baxter 1994, Calderhead 1991).
