Zusammenfassung

Erleidet ein Mensch eine Beeinträchtigung seiner kognitiven Leistungsfähigkeit, so kann das schwerwiegende Einbuβen in seinem täglichen Leben mit sich bringen; dies gilt auch schon für leichte kognitive Beeinträchtigungen, beispielsweise im Arbeitsleben bei intellektuell anfordernden Berufen. Wegen des heute vermehrt notwendigen Neu- und Umlernens im Berufsleben ist speziell eine hohe Merk- und Gedächtnisleistung unerläβlich, und Berentungen werden häufig wegen verringerter kognitiv-mnestischer Leistungsfähigkeit vorgenommen. Demnach gewinnt die leichte kognitive Störung an Bedeutung.
