Zusammenfassung
Die Morbidität und Mortalität von AIDS ist seit Einführung hochaktiver antiretroviraler Kombinationstherapien (HAART), bestehend aus 2 reverse Transkriptaseinhibitoren (RTI) und einem Proteaseinhibitor (PI) oder Nonnukleosid (NNRTI), deutlich zurückgegangen [2]. Stoffwechselveränderungen wie Hyperlipidämien, Insulinresistenz und Zunahme des viszeralen Fettgewebes werden zunehmend häufiger bei Patienten mit diesen Kombinationstherapien gesehen [3, 8]. Diese Veränderungen können Risikofaktoren für das Auftreten einer Atherosklerose sein. Erste Fallberichte beschreiben das Auftreten von Myokardinfarkten bei HIV-infizierten Patienten unter HAART [1,4–7].
