Zusammenfassung

Die enttäuschenden Ergebnisse der operativen Behandlung der angeborenen Hüftluxation führten um die Jahrhundertwende auf dem europäischen Kontinent und im angloamerikanischen Sprachraum zu zwei unterschiedlichen Entwicklungen (Tönnis 1984). In Europa setzte sich die von Paci (1888) und Lorenz (1895) entwickelte geschlossene Einrenkungstechnik durch, wobei eine hohe Hüftkopfnekroserate in Kauf genommen werden mußte.
