Zusammenfassung
Die Aufnahme eines bewußtlosen Patienten erfordert immer höchste Aufmerksamkeit und umsichtiges Handeln von allen Beteiligten. Es muß parallel die Grundversorgung des Patienten gesichert werden, und es sollten effizient zeitsparend die erforderlichen diagnostischen Schritte unternommen werden. Dabei sollte es durch eine klinische Untersuchung in der Aufnahmesituation möglich sein, die Form des Komas festzustellen und die möglichen Differentialdiagnosen rasch einzuengen.
