Abstract
The Superconducting (SC) and Spin Density Wave (SDW) phases lie next to each other in the pressure-temperature phase diagram of the (TMTSF)2X compounds. Except for the ambient pressure (TMTSF)2ClO4 superconductor, the SC phase appears only after the SDW phase is suppressed by pressure. This chapter demonstrates that a rather simple framework based on a tight-binding band and a mean-field approximation is able to give a consistent theoretical description of SDW and to clarify why the SDW phase vanishes under pressure with the reentrant SC phase appearing.
