Zementierte vs. zementfreie Hüft-TEP-Implantation bei über 80jährigen Patienten / Total Hip Replacement Implantation in Patients Aged Over 80

Summary

Between 1985 and 1998 our clinics implanted 6089 total hip replacements. Of that figure 366 were patients aged over 80 with fractures of the proximal femur, and 66 surviving patients were subsequently examined and 75 interviewed. The patients were divided into 2 groups. The study involves 37 Zweymüller and 5 Opticontact shafts each with duo-ball and 18 Peritia and 4 CF 30 shafts. 3.6% of the first group died while still hospitalized vs 7.3% of the group with cemented shaft. The increased mortality rate for the cemented shaft group can be attributed to the cement reaction. The follow-up examinations showed good results in both groups.

Zusammenfassung

Von 1985–1998 wurden in unseren Kliniken 366 Patienten über 80 Jahre alt mit Frakturen des proximalen Femur versorgt. 66 noch lebende Patienten wurden nachuntersucht und 75 befragt. Die Patienten wurden in 2 Gruppen eingeteilt: zementierter-zementfreier Schaft. Es handelt sich um 37 Zweymüller- und 5 Opticontactschäfte, jeweils mit Duokopf komplettiert sowie um 18 Peritia- und 4 CF 30 Schäfte. Während des stationären Aufenthaltes starben in der ersten Gruppe 3,6% und in der Gruppe mit zementiertem Schaft 7,3%. Die erhöhte Mortalitätsrate bei den zementierten Schäften führen wir auf die Zementreaktion zurück. Die Nachuntersuchungen zeigten bei beiden Gruppen gute Ergebnisse.
