Abstract

Sarcoidosis is a multisystem, noncaseating, granulomatous disease of unknown etiology. The skin is involved 25 % of the time, and dermatologists often play a key role in making the diagnosis and managing the disease. African Americans have a higher incidence of sarcoidosis than in other ethnic groups.
