Abstract
This chapter is concerned with the depiction of lesions which are confined to individual columns of the spinal cord. They have lengthwise extension, lack of enhancement and swelling in common. Atrophy of the spinal cord should be described, but, for a variety of reasons, radiology does not contribute to the differential diagnosis.
