Abstract

Organotin derivatives are not as stable as the corresponding germanium compounds and less sensitive than organolead derivatives. Compounds with unsaturated groups, heterocyclic systems, and several functional groups are reported in the literature. Halogen, cyano groups, oxygen, or nitrogen functions have been introduced in tetraorganotin compounds. The symmetric tetraorganotin compounds compiled in Tables 56–60 are prepared by methods explained in the following scheme.
