  • Conference paper
Climate and Development

Abstract

In this chapter a member of the energy community, which has been involved in the issue of greenhouse gases for more than a decade by exploring scientific knowledge and discussing it with leading experts, critically reviews the scientific state of the art, particularly the uncertainties of the models calculating the climatic risk. This chapter focuses on the role of fossil fuel use, although there are other radiatively active trace gases released by human activities such as CH4, N2O, O3 and its precursors as well as CFC and particulates.
