Ein Urethralschleimhautprolaps entsteht durch verminderte Elastizität des suburethralen Bindegewebes, ein Urethralkarunkel durch eine chronische Entzündung der Skeneschen Drüsen. Differenzialdiagnostisch ist auch immer an ein Urethralkarzinom zu denken.
