Zusammenfassung

Unter Komorbidität wird das Vorliegen von mehr als einer Erkrankung bei demselben Patienten verstanden. Sie kann mit einer Vielzahl medizinischer Probleme verbunden sein. Zur Messung dieser Komorbidität wurde eine Vielzahl von Klassifikationen entwickelt, ohne dass eine davon sich allgemein durchsetzen konnte. Bisher gilt der Charlson-Score als die am häufigsten verwendete Komorbiditätsklassifikation. Neben dem Charlson-Score sind eine Vielzahl weiterer Klassifikationen verfügbar. Besondere Bedeutung hat die Beurteilung der Komorbidität bei der Abschätzung des konkurrierenden Sterberisikos in der urologischen Onkologie, vor allem beim frühen Prostatakarzinom und bei der Abschätzung des perioperativen Risikos bei größeren urologischen Operationen.
