Zusammenfassung

Ureteropelvine Stenosen stellen die häufigste Ursache für pränatal festgestellte Ektasien des Nierenbeckenkelchsystems dar. Sie sind heutzutage selten symptomatisch und werden in den meisten Fällen im Rahmen des pränatalen Screenings bzw. der pädiatrischen Vorsorgeuntersuchungen als Ektasie des Nierenbeckenkelchsystems diagnostiziert. Ureteropelvine Stenosen stellen Kinderurologen und Pädiater vor eine diagnostische und therapeutische Herausforderung, nämlich die relevanten Obstruktionen frühzeitig von den Nierenbeckendilatationen ohne Harnabflusshindernis zu unterscheiden und zu therapieren, bevor es zu einer (weiteren) Schädigung der Nierenfunktion kommt.
