Zusammenfassung
Die Kultivierung eukaryoter Zellen in vitro ist heute als Routinetechnik aus der zell- und molekularbiologischen Grundlagenforschung bis hin zur angewandten Biotechnologie nicht mehr wegzudenken (s. Einleitung). Trotz der weiten Verbreitung und der vielfältigen Anwendungen von Zell- und Gewebekulturen sind eine Reihe grundlegender Fragen und Arbeitsvorschriften ungeklärt und werden in den einzelnen Laboratorien auf unterschiedlichste Weise gehandhabt.
