Abstract
The world population is aging and the prevalence of age-related diseases is increasing. Cutaneous ulcers are a major group of pathologies in the elderly that have high morbidity and economic burden. In this chapter, we review our current knowledge of age-related mechanisms underlying wound-healing alterations that occur with age.
