Abstract

The integration of optical fiber and wireless communication is the development of the future communications. The orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology is considered the key technology to solve the seamless link in the future broadband wireless mobile communications, and the combination of the Radio over Fiber (RoF) technology and OFDM will become the core technology of the next generation communication systems. This paper employ the RoF-OFDM Radio Remote technology to achieve a generalized distributed microcell MIMO communication system, which can be used as the complementarities of the existing networks deployment and cellular architectures, and to meet the seamless coverage of the cell and jointless linkage of the networks, and to satisfy the independence and specific communications needs of users.
