Abstract

According to the H.264 recommendation, a video encoder is designed to implement high quality video flow transfer based on AD DSP. Hardware platform of the encoder is an image processing equipment based on DSP (BF561) and video capture uses OV7660. Video capture and data format transformation become easier when DMA is used. The result shows that it is possible to implement a real-time video encoder conformed to the H.264 standard on a single BF561 with high quality and low bandwidth.
