Dieses Kapitel behandelt verschiedene Verfahren zur Bildaufnahme in der automatischen Sichtprüfung. Dabei ist zu unterscheiden, welche Eigenschaften des untersuchten Objekts von Interesse sind (Abb. 7.1):

optische Eigenschaften wie Reflektivität, Farbe, Textur und Brechungsindex, jeweils als Funktion des Ortes, oder
geometrische Eigenschaften, also die dreidimensionale Gestalt des Objekts.
