Abstract

A proliferative phase of unknown duration and extent is followed by an involutional period that passes into regression in approximately 70% of all cases. A newer classification (ISSVA) of hemangiomas includes a more differentiated nomenclature, including the vascular flow of the lesion and the origin of tissue. The author describes the technique of Neodym-Yag laser treatment with three different methods. ND-YAG laser is an effective tool in a multimodal field of various methods dealing with hemangiomas and vascular malformations.
