Zusammenfassung

Alkoholassoziierte Veränderungen von Verhalten, Kognitionen und sozialer Interaktion zählen zu den häufigsten psychiatrischen Erkrankungen. Zu den häufigsten alkoholbedingten Störungen gehören die Alkoholintoxikation, der schädliche Gebrauch von Alkohol, die Alkoholabhängigkeit und assoziierte Syndrome wie Alkoholentzug, psychotische Störungen und das amnestische Syndrom. Diese führen in Kombination mit internistischen und neurologischen Folgeerkrankungen des Alkoholkonsums dazu, dass Störungen durch Alkohol ein erhebliches medizinisches und soziales Problem darstellen. Bezüglich der Ätiopathogenese der Alkoholerkrankung werden sowohl soziale und lerntheoretische als auch genetische und biologische Theorien diskutiert. In der Therapie werden daher unterschiedliche Ansätze wie die Therapie mit Anti-Craving-Substanzen, Psychotherapie und sozialpsychiatrische Maßnahmen kombiniert.
