Zusammenfassung
Es besteht eine enge wechselseitige Beziehung zwischen Nierenerkrankungen und Krankheiten des kardiovaskulären Systems. Die kardiovaskuläre Mortalität nimmt bereits bei leicht eingeschränkter Nierenfunktion stetig zu und ist bei Dialysepatienten 10- bis 30-fach gegenüber der Allgemeinbevölkerung erhöht. Andererseits bedingen akute und chronische Beeinträchtigungen der Herzfunktion häufig eine Einschränkung der Nierenfunktion.
