Abstract
The image registration and motion estimation problems have been largely studied in the spatial frequency domain. However, most of the existed frequency-domain methodologies consider that themoving objects’ motions can be approximated as simply translational. In this work, we study the linear parametric motion model (affine distortion plus translation) in the spatial frequency domain and we present an algorithm for the estimation of its parameters. The experimental application of the methodology presents promising results.
